Mrs. Catherine Lochner, 2851 Jackson Street, died at Mercy Hospital at 12:45 o'clock Friday afternoon following a short illness.

She was born Sept. 12, 1872, at Sherrill, the daughter of Frederick and Teresa (sic Hirsch) Tigges of Peru Township. She was married June 7, 1892, to John Lochner at Sherrill. She lived on a farm in Peru Township until 11 years ago when she moved to Dubuque.

Survivors are her husband, John; two sons, Thomas L. of Asbury and Sylvester L. of Cuba City, Wis.; one daughter, Mrs. Jacob Schmitt of Sherrill; four brothers, Joseph and Martin Tigges of Salem Township; Adam Tigges of Sherrill and August Tigges of Asbury; three sisters, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Koenig of Dubuque, Mrs. Valentine (Mary) Lochner of Dubuque, and Mrs. John (Anna) Schmitt of Sherrill; and 18 grandchildren. Her parents, an infant daughter, and one brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Holy Ghost parish and the Rosary and Sacred Heart Societies of that parish.

The body may be viewed at the residence after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the residence to Holy Ghost Church, with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
