Death of Mrs. Mary A. Leekley

Many readers in Dubuque will be pained to hear of the death of Mrs. Mary A. Leekley, which occurred at Galena on Thursday last. Her age was 70 years. Deceased was the wife of Rev. Mark Leekley, and mother of John A. and G. S. Leekley of Galena, Mrs. Mary A. Taskers of Chicago, Thomas C. Leekley of Dubuque. She emigrated to Dubuque in 1834, and resided in this city for a period of four years, after which she moved to Jo Daviess County, where she has since lived, and for the past six years has been a resident of Galena. She was an active member of the M. E. Church, and died the death of a devoted Christian. The bereaved family has our deep sympathy in this the hour of their affliction. The funeral will take place today from the M. E. Church in Galena.
