Sherri L. Tranel, 47, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away Thursday May 31, at the Legacy and Living Rehabilitation Center.

Sherri was born in Craig, Colorado on February 6, 1971, the daughter of Roger and Bonnie Tranel. She graduated from high school in Gillette, Wyoming and moved with her parents to Iowa. Sherri became ill and returned to Gillette and was a resident of Pioneer Manor and The Legacy for the past 17 years.

Sherri is survived by her mother, Bonnie, of Gillette, Wyoming, formerly of East Dubuque, IL; siblings Jeff Tranel (Vanessa) of Pueblo, Colorado; Lori Clikeman (Jim) of Gillette, Wyoming; Jody Wolfe (Stan) of Gillette, Wyoming; and Shawn Tranel of Grand Junction, Colorado; one niece; 6 nephews; and many relatives in the East Dubuque and Midwest area.

She was preceded in death by her father Roger Tranel, Grandparents: Cletus and Lydia Eckert, Ed and Lucille Tranel.

A visitation will be held at the Legacy Great Room on Friday, June 8, 2018, beginning at 4:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Sherri would love for persons attending to wear something purple. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Legacy bingo, Campbell County Health Hospice, John Paul II Catholic School, or a charity of the donor's choice.
