CASCADE, Iowa - Marian K. Schommer, 98, of Bonne Terre, Mo., formerly of Cascade, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at St. Joseph's Manor, Bonne Terre.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade.

Marion was born on Oct. 22, 1914, in Winona, Minn., daughter of Edward C. and Kathryn (Engler) Lynch. She received her education in the Winona schools.

On June 24, 1939, she was united in marriage to Joseph L. Schommer, in Winona; he preceded her in death on July 24, 1998.

Marion was a former secretary of the Cascade Senior Citizens. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade.

Surviving are a son, Patrick (Debbie) Schommer, of St. Louis; five daughters, Carol (Arnold) Seitz, of Dubuque, Janet (Mike) Vary, of Swanton, Ohio, Nancy (Jim) Trygg, of Grand Forks, N.D., Joan (Mike) Gerard, of St. Louis, and Susan (Jim) Rouggly, of Bonne Terre; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Judy Schommer; and two sisters, Betty Klingler and Margaret Kuklinski; and a brother, Patrick Lynch.
