THENO

Margaret Theno, widow of the late Mathias Theno, and a well-known resident of Dubuque, died at the home of her eldest son, Nicholas, 3114 Washington Street, at 6 p.m. Monday evening. Mrs. Theno was born in Ramerding, Belgium, March 15, 1822, and with her husband emigrated to this country in 1854. For a number of years, they resided in Port Washington, Wisc., but in 1858 came to Iowa locating on a farm in Center Township. Mrs. Theno removed to this city in 1891 and resided here since up to the time of her death, which came when she was 83 years old, the cause of death chiefly old age.

She is survived by eight children as follows; Nicholas, Adolph, Mrs. William Imhoff and Mrs. Charles Wertenbruch, all of Dubuque; Emil of Charles City, Iowa; John F., of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; Mrs. Nicholas Schrobitchen, of Center Township; and Mrs. Charles Noel, of Mosalem.

Mrs. Theno had in her forty-seven years of residence in the county and city made scores of friends who will lament her death. She was an upright woman of untarnished character and reputation.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 from the residence to the Holy Ghost Church. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
