John Brady, 66, a retired farmer from Epworth, died Tuesday at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Ia., after a short illness.

Friends may call at the Haudenshield Funeral Home in Epworth after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery Friday.

He had lived in Epworth the last 50 years and had retired three years ago. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Doris (Waechter) Brady; two daughter, Mrs. Buick (Hazel) Wolfe, of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Mrs. Orland (Verla) Driscoll of Dubuque; two sons, First Lt. Clifford Brady, with the U. S. Army at Omaha, Nerbr., and Clayton Brady of Epworth; eight grandchildren: two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Knickerbocker and Mrs. Elmer Dehn, both of Manchester, Ia., and one brother, Ben Brady, of Rockford, Ill.
