A Boy Dangerously Wounded

Last Friday evening a son of Mr. Wm. J. Anderson, who resides a short distance this side of Peosta, was dangerously and perhaps mortally wounded by the premature discharge of a fowling piece. The boy was preparing to go out hunting, and was loading his gun when it exploded, the whole charge passing through his hand, and carrying away the greater portion of his cheek, lacerating his face in a frightful manner. At the time of the accident the boy’s father, Mr. Anderson, was in the city, he being a member of the Grand Jury. He was at once set out for home and has not returned, from the fact the worst is to be inferred. He will received the sympathy of all for this misfortune.
