“The Typewriter,” is the appropriate name of a machine advertised on our first page, of which Mr. E. Sholes, of this place, is agent – his uncle being the inventor. The machine is all that the advertisement describes; about the size and appearance of a small sewing machine; capable of writing, - or of printing rather – as fast as a man can bring his fingers down one letter after another; requiring no instruction or ingenuity any more than it does to pick up chips; and if desired to will print not only the letter you want to send off, but from one to twenty facsimiles thereof. For full particulars send E. Sholes, Esq., for circular.
