Marriage at Cascade

Mr. Richard Dawson and Miss Mary Beatty, both of Cascade, were married at the residence of the bride’s parents in Cascade, on Wednesday last, by the Rev. James Sanhill. Mr. Dawson was raised in that neighborhood since early childhood, and as a boy and man he has always had the confidence and esteem of his neighbors. By well-directed industry and good management, Mr. Dawson has carved his way to success reached by but few so early in life, and his sterling character and upright ways have made him a general favorite wherever he is known. The bride was born in Cascade; is a Dubuque County girl, and a girl Dubuque County can be proud of, too; therefore it may well be supposed that the marriage of two such was an event that attracted more than usual interest, and on which all parties heartily congratulated. The marriage took place at 10 a.m., after which there was a wedding dinner and the usual festivities, and then the bridal pair left on a tour. The TIMES extends its best wishes.
