To Market to Market, to Buy…

Wagons loaded with flowers, produce, vegetables, etc., surround the City Hall at Thirteenth and Central. The market provided necessary supplies to city residents when there was no such thing as a supermarket. As the city grew, the market expanded into the blocks down Central and Iowa. Market is still held every Saturday morning at the same site. (Submitted by Frank Buol)
