Agnes Vetter

Agnes U.E. Vetter, 98; died Jan. 28,1999, at the Lake Park Care Center. She had been a resident since October 1994. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 30, from the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Park. Rev. Ken MacLeod officiated at the service. Interment was in the Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park, The Turner Funeral Home, Lake Park, was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Sept. 3, 1900, the daughter of Wesley and Lorena Wilson Swanson at Boxholm. She received her education at a rural school in Boxholm. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Boxholm Lutheran Church. On April 20, 1924, she was united in marriage to Paul Vetter at Boxholm. They moved to Lake Park in October 1929. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park and the United Presbyterian Women. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are: her sons, Don and his wife, Lois, Larrabee; and Gene and his wife Bonnie of Spencer; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Iona Paulson of Early; and Doris Vogler of Boone; sisters-in-law, Pauline, Dayton; Juanita, Ogden; and Viola, Ogden; and a host of many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Gladys and Frances; brothers, Lloyd, Harold, Everett, LaVerne, Donald and Lester; and twin grandsons.
