I am tracing the Goff lineage for my brother-in-law and this is what I have: William Goff b. 1822 married Mary Decker Westfall, 24 Oct 1844 in Burlington, Des Moines Co., Ia., no source of proof as yet. Mary's mother: Jemima Decker, father unknown. William son of William Goff b. ca 1790 in Va; died 1827 place unknown. He married Sally Trent born 10 Oct 1792 in Va. Death info unknown. She is the dau of Williamson Trent and Nancy Potter. I got this from Family Trees posted on Ancestry.com, and no reliable sources provided.
