Henry L. Poggemiller, Pleasant Grove, died suddenly Thursday (March 19, 1953) in Louisa county while burning brush. He suffered a heart attack.

He was born in Pleasant Grove township, Des Moines county, October 4, 1868, the son of Henry L. and Maria Poggemiller and was a life resident of the community. He was a bridge construction foreman.

He was of the Lutheran faith, and on February 17, 1892, married Anna E. Shepphard at Pleasant Grove.

Surviving are his widow; four sons and three daughters: Roy and Elmer of Burlington, Albert of Mount Pleasant, Glenn of Oakville, Mrs. Nellie Johnson of Danville, Mrs. Dora McColloch, Burlington, and Mrs. Marie Appel, of Carman, Illinois. There are 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister are dead.

Funeral services will be held in Prugh's chapel at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove township.
