Leon Quentin Washington, 16, of Burlington died at 2:53 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Great River Medical Center ER in West Burlington, Iowa.

Born December 9, 1988 in Burlington, he was the son of Leroy and Kathleen Brasfield Washington.

Mr. Washington was a student at Burlington High School. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his mother of Burlington; his father of Peoria, Illinois; two brothers, Everett Orth and Roy Orth, both of Burlington; maternal grandparents, Jeanette and Thomas Brasfield of Ft. Madison; and paternal grandparents, Gwendal and Martha Washington of Peoria, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents.

Visitatin will be from 8 a.m. to the time of service Monday at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the time of service.

The funeral for Mr. Washington will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Beaty officiating. As per his wishes, the body will be cremated following the service. Private family burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial has been established.
