Lawrence A. Bauman, 80, of New London Route 1, died at 3:09 p.m. Monday, June 17 (1985), at Burlington Medical Center.

He was born April 7, 1905, in Henry County, to Anton and Sophia Speidel Bauman. He married Dorothy Marie Finger June 7, 1933, at West Burlington. She died March 10, 1969.

He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, West Burlington.

Surviving: Three daughters, Mrs. Ina Moore, Mt. Pleasant, Verna Bauman and Barbara Bauman, both of New London Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Johnson, West Burlington Route 4, and Mrs. Esther Funk, Bettendorf; a brother, Leonard Bauman, West Burlington; and one granddaughter.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary Church, West Burlington, the Reverend Louis Mulligan; church cemetery. The rosary will be said at Prugh's Chapel at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
