Ronald Breder

Ronald Howard Breder passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2020 at the age of 71, in his home in Sedona, Arizona. He was born in Burlington, Iowa to Howard and Maime Breder on April 20, 1949. He was raised on a farm in Mediapolis, Iowa with his 3 sisters and younger brother, where he was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Mediapolis. He attended Iowa State University and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1972. He began his career with General Electric and married Rebecca Bryant in 1974 (later divorced). They had 3 daughters soon after and relocated to Utah in 1984. He loved his job with GE, which allowed him the opportunity to travel often. In 1998, he began working for GE International, which allowed him to work overseas in places such as South Korea, Thailand, Qatar and Dubai. After 41 years of service, he retired in 2013 and later settled in Sedona, Arizona.

He had a love of travel that lead him all over the world. He particularly loved Thailand, where he owned a second home and continued to spend several months out of each year there. He loved Corvettes, Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Greenbay Packers and Diet Mt Dew. But above all, he loved spending time with his daughters and grandkids.

Ron is survived by his children; Melissa (Clinton) Poduska, Nicole (Preston) Price and Kristen Sullivan, 6 grandchildren and 4 siblings. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and infant sister.

A small gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, September 24th 12:00 – 2:00pm at The Chateau at the Rose Shop, 1910 E. Dimple Dell Road, Sandy. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd.
