Mrs. Louisa Walker, 90, widow of Silas Walker, resident of Des Moines county for more than 80 years, died at her home, four miles north of Burlington, Sunday afternoon at 1:40 o'clock.

Louise Gustina Distelhorst was born in Germany, March 4, 1839, and came to this country at the age of five years. After a brief stay in St. Louis, she moved with her parents to Latty, Iowa. She was married August 31, 1857, to Silas Walker and moved to the farm.

Surviving are nine children: Mrs. Emily Shreve of Sloan, Iowa; Mrs. Christanna Bazel, Morning Sun, Iowa; Fred L. Walker, Middletown, Iowa; Rosetta Shreve, Washington, Iowa; Mrs. Minnie Ward of Burlington, Royal L. Walker, Sloan, Iowa; Mrs. Selma Walker, Danville, Iowa; and Joseph R. Walker and Rachel M. Walker at home. Nineteen grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Walker was a charter member of the Evangelical church of Latty. Funeral services will be held at the home, north of Burlington, in Tama township, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with interment in Walker cemetery.
