JOHN SPERBER BURIED TODAY
Des Moines County Native Died at Home of Daughter

Ft. Madison, la.—Funeral services for John Sperber, 83, Washington township, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edna Jaster, Ft. Madison at 2:35 Sunday morning, were held this morning at 10 o’clock at the Weisbruck funeral home. Rev. J. Wagner, pastor of the St. Mary’s church at West Point, la., officiated at the service and burial was made in the Sacred Heart cemetery in Burlington.

Sperber was born in Union township, Des Moines county, May 1, 1858. He married Catherine Dornhafner May 2, 1889 in the St. Mary’s rectory in Burlington. His wife, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Edna Jaster, a grandson, Paul Jaster and one sister, Kate Sperber, Washington township.
