Vera Lionne (Pierce) Thye was born to Ralph E. and Edith Pierce on September 30, 1913. She Married Theodore P. Thye on September 2, 1936.

The funeral service for Mrs. Vera L. Thye, 82, who died Monday, March 25th in Moline, Illinois, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 28th, at Oak Street Baptist Church. Reverend Ron Presley will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

Vera is survived by her husband, a daughter Judy Davis, Cologna, Il and a son James Thye of Burlington.
A memorial to Oak Street Baptist Church has been established.
