Martha Ruth Hock, 87, formerly of Wheaton, Ill., and formerly of Racine, Wis., and Burlington died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Belmont Village in Wheaton.
Born Sept. 9, 1921, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Sydney and Anna Rolf Stockdale. On Aug.19, 1945, she married Donald Edward Hock in Burlington. He died March 31, 2002.
Mrs. Hock was a former member of Racine Bible Church and involved in Child Evangelism Fellowship. She enjoyed art, painting, drawing and road trips throughout the United States with her husband.
Survivors include one son, James Hock of Wheaton; two daughters, Carolyn Bergman of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Janice Story of Brookfield, Wis.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, James Stockdale of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Phyllis Anglemier of San Mateo, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Sturino Funeral Home in Racine, Wis.
The funeral for Mrs. Hock will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sturino Funeral Home. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
Memorials have been established for C.E.F. of Southeastern Wisconsin, 7830 W. Burleigh, Milwaukee, Wis., 53222, and Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice, 1155 N. Honey Creek Parkway, Milwaukee, Wis., 53213.
Sturino Funeral Home in Racine, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.
