Clarence Deam, 74, of Morning Sun, died Saturday (May 7, 1966) at 4:15 p.m. at Mercy hospital in Burlington. The son of James and Jane Hunter Deam, he was born April 28, 1892, at Oakville.

He married Irene Tordoe (sic) on October 2, 1922, at Fort Madison. Mr. Deam was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; one son, William Deam of Berwyn, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Brockway of Davenport and Mrs. Donna Schmied of Wapello; one brother, Frank Deam of Mediapolis; one sister, Pearl Earnest of Wapello; and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 10, at 2 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley funeral home in Wapello with Reverend Robert Dodder officiating. Interment will be at the Elmwood cemetery at Morning Sun.
