Austin Walker, 93, Mediapolis, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, at Mediapolis Care Center.

He was born January 17, 1884, in Des Moines county, the son of Miles and Alice Barnes Walker. He married Hazel Bailey January 18,1911, in Des Moines county; she died in May 1977. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Kingston Methodist church.

Surviving; Three daughters, Mrs. John (Gwen) Holsteen, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Mrs, Gladys Moneysmith, Burlington, and Mrs. Kathryn Youngman, Mediapolis; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Kingston Methodist church, Reverend Clarence Burns; Memorial Park cemetery, Burlington. A memorial has been established to the church. Body is at Fry Chapel.
