Mrs. Emily P. Lange, 93, of Burlington died at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Great River Medical Center - Klein Center.
Born August 26, 1921 in Des Moines County, she was the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Fullerton) Schuler. In 1940 she married Warren Tiemann. He preceded her in death in 1970. In 1972 she married Marvin Lange and moved to West Burlington. He also preceded her in death on January 21, 2008.
Mrs. Lange was a 1938 graduate of Burlington High School. She worked at the former Benner Tea Co. at Mediapolis, Campbell Chain Co. of West Burlington and retired from Bock's Flower shop in Burlington after 25 years of service.
She was a member of Long Creek United Methodist Church, rural Danville, United Methodist Women and was active in Des Moines County 4-H work in her earlier years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling, playing cards and dancing.
Survivors include three step children, Connie Ketchum of Cedar Rapids, Danny Lange of Burlington and Diane Lange of Burlington; four step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; three nephews; one niece and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and two brothers.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday, December 21st, at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lange will then follow at 1:30 p.m. officiated by the Rev. David Mixon. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
