Born April 16, 1935, in Clinton, she was the daughter of Harry Teisman and Lily Amanda Bolz Hawk. She married C.F. Bill Saben. They later divorced.
Ms. Saben was a homemaker.
She was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved to fish, read, play Scrabble and cards. She also loved gardening and flowers.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Roeder of Davenport; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bonnie Stodt of Burlington, Leona Graves of Salina, Kan., and Lila Bean of Mediapolis; one brother, Harry Hawk of Burlington; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The funeral for Ms. Saben will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, with Pastor Sam Fratt officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
