Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Paull, 99, of Burlington, died at 7:30 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, IL.

Born March 5, 1915, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry G. and Mary "Mamie" Broderson Kuntz. On January 2, 1946, she married Cletus Samuel Paull in Burlington. He died December 24, 1986.

Mary was a homemaker.

She attended St. John's Business School.

She was a member of SS. John and Paul Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, and St. Francis Auxiliary. She was a 4-H leader and Cub Scout Leader. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, canning, sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She cherished time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her three sons, James (Aubrey) Paull of Atlanta, GA, Stephen (Crickett) Paull of Round Mountain, CA, and David (Rita) Paull of Burlington; two daughters, Carolyn (Ray) Feirtag of Galesburg, IL, and Kathleen (Bill) Strong of Ottawa, IL; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends following a 5:00 PM Rosary Service until 7:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Thielen Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Paull will be 10:00 AM Friday, December 19, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Father Marty Goetz as the Celebrant. Music will be provided by the Des Moines County Resurrection Choir. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at St. John's Cafeteria following the interment.

A memorial has been established for SS. John & Paul Catholic Church.
