Robert Lynn Quell, 55, of East Peoria, Illinois and former Burlington resident died Friday, January 16, 2004, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born May 27, 1948, in Burlington, he was the son of Lyman Carl and Esthel Marie Petty Quell.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Quell was active in Special Olympics where he won two blue ribbons in swimming.

Survivors include a brother Jack W. Quell of Peoria; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends between noon and 1 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel.

The funeral for Mr. Quell will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Hope Haven Area Development Center.
