EDWARD WITTE FUNERAL IN MEDIAPOLIS

Mr. Edward Witte, 74, a life resident of Des Moines county, died in Burlington hospital at 12:35 p.m. Monday (June 22, 1964). He had been ill for two months.

Mr. Witte was the son of August and Mary Louise Sleeter Witte and was born February 22, 1890. He was married to Zella Wells on September 2, 1914.

She survives as do a son and two daughters: Lemoyne Witte, Mrs. Suella Robinson, and Mrs. Ferne Louise Swanson, all of Morning Sun; a brother, David Witte, Burlington rural; 11 grandchildren. Three brothers, a sister and a grandson died previously.

Last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mediapolis Methodist church of which Mr. Witte was a member. The Reverend Eldon Haworth will officiate. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery.
