Helene Louise Holihan, 84, of 127 Glendale Drive, Burlington, died Friday, Nov. 29, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Dec. 25, 1911, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Ralph and Phoebe Eberhardt Freitag. On Sept. 15, 1936, she married Charles T. Holihan in Burlington.
Mrs. Holihan was a homemaker. She also was a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell in the 1930s.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, King's Daughters and Eleanor Copeland Circle.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sandra Fritz of Aurora, Colo., and Betty Hamstra of Clinton; two sons, Larry Holihan of Clermont, Fla., and John Holihan of Morris Plains, N.J.; eight grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Pearson of Burlington; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 630 to 830 p.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. Holihan will be 1030 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Charles Evans officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
