Kenneth William Booth, 83, of Burlington, died at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa, on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.

Born on April 16, 1931 in Independence, Iowa, he was the son of Owen F. and Florence Barringer Booth. He married Eleanor Louise Kramer on December 27, 1958 in Burlington, Iowa.

Kenneth was raised in Waverly, Iowa at the Lutheran Children's Home & School. He completed the 8th grade at Clive Community School. He was a Corporal in the Army. He worked for the Parks Department for the City of Burlington in maintenance, lawn maintenance and as a bus driver. He was a member of SS. John & Paul Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Duane (Nancy) Booth of Burlington, Iowa and Michael Booth of Rock Falls, Illinois; one daughter, Bernice Stoffel of Crestview, Florida; six grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Jean Wikham of Texas. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin J. Booth; and five brothers and three sisters.

Graveside ash committal services will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Military rites will be conducted by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. No formal visitation is planned. Condolences may be sent to www.prughfuneralservice.com.
