Sue Ellen Lindgren, 66, of Burlington, Iowa, died Monday evening, December 1, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.

Born on April 17, 1948 in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of George E. and Betty McCarty Cumpton. She married Terry Allen Lindgren Sr. in Burlington, Iowa.

Sue Ellen was a licensed practical nurse and worked for several years at St. Francis Nursing Home. She enjoyed drawing, fishing, crochet work, cross-stitching, cooking, baking and reading Twilight Series novels. “Sassie” her pet min pin dog was a special comfort to her. She cherished the time spent with her family and granddaughter. She was a member of Faith Temple Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Terry; two sons, David (Shirley) Lindgren and Terry (Mary) Lindgren Jr., both of Burlington, Iowa; one granddaughter, Tamara at home; one brother, Bobby (Janet) Compton of Palmyra, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Siefen of Texas; one half-brother, Raymond Walter of New Mexico; nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and half-sister, Linda Norton.
