Kelly Floyd, 41, of Burlington, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, November 27, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.

Born November 30, 1961, in Burlington, she was the daughter of George Gordon and Lynda Jean Welch Coffin. On January 16, 1982, she married Kenneth D. Floyd Jr. in Burlington.

Mrs. Floyd was a homemaker and a partner with her husband in Floyd's E-Z-Way Container Service.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on the river and going on shopping sprees.

Survivors include her husband; one daugher, Genna E. Floyd of Burlington; one son, George T. Floyd of Burlington; her parents; two sisters, Kim Johnson of O'Fallon, Mo, and Kristi Frank of Burlington; her grandmother, Bernice Welch of Burlington; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one grandmother and two grandfathers.

The family will receive friends at Christ Episcopal Church between 2 and 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The funeral for Mrs. Floyd will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Canon Patrick Genereux officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for local breast cancer research and Great River Medical Center Hospice.
