Victoria Martina "Vicki" Ried, 55, of West Burlington, died at 2:55 p.m Friday, November 14, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burligton after a lenghty bout with cancer.

Born August 24, 1948, in Burlington, she was the daugher of William Audrey and Lealia Mae Reynolds Green. On August 27, 1977, she married Karl Ried in Burlington.

Mrs. Ried worked as a certified nurses aide at St. Francis Care Center and was a manager at Wendy's. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed family get togethers, camping, crocheting, quilting,listening to the Mudcats and her work at St. Francis.

Survivors include her husband; two daughtrers, Lisa Mae Ried of West Burlington and Dawn Marie Olomon of Davenport; one son, Travis Karl Ried of Montrose; two stepdaughters, Karol Louise Adamson of Kingston and Kristin Kay Riherd of Mediapolis; 10 grandchildren; five sisters, Dorothy Meeke and Sandra Matson, both of Davenport; Gloria Gay of Washington; Amy Tyner of Phoenix and Dixie Baldwin of Wassaw, Illinois; two brothers, William R. Green of Burlington and Donald E. Green of Davenport; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chkapel in Burlington, where the family will receive fiends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Ried will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Elliott George officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
