Cecil Eugene Reynolds, 70, of Mediapolis, died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born July 24, 1933, in Nichols,Iowa, he was the son of Walter and Ella Rathjen Reynolds. On October 7, 1956, he married Marjorie Ann Springsteen in Kalamozoo, Michigan.

Mr. Reynolds retired from Brockway Co. after 22 years of service as a heating and air conditioning service technician. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1951. He was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed traveling, wood working, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debra LeGrand of Mesa, Arizona, Sherry Schmooke of Colona, Illinois, and Nancy Jacobs of Sperry; three sons, Larry "Dino" Reynolds of Burlington, Dennis Reynolds of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Walter Reynolds of Kingston; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Bell of Davenport; one brother, Richard Reynolds of Winfield, and several nieces and nphews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and two sons.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday November 11, 2003 in Prugh's Chapel.

The funeral for Mr. Reynolds will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis.
