Charles E. Ryan, 57, formerly of Burlington, died Thursday, Jan. 1, in Orange County hospital, Garden Grove, Calif., after an extended illness. He was the brother of Everett Ryan, 304 South.

Mr. Ryan was born in Burlington, June 15, 1912, the son of Charles W. and Emma Marsden Ryan.
He left Burlington for California about 37 years ago.
He was married to Clementine Perdue in 1934. She has been dead about 10 years.
Surviving in addition to his brother here; three children in California; his parents in Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Sourwine, Sacramento, Mrs. Eva Wolfe, Brea, Calif.
Services are pending in Garden Grove, Calif.
