Maley Sellwood died on December 26, 1938. He is buried in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa

Obituary:
Ottumwa Courier -- Ottumwa, Iowa
December 26, 1938

Maley L. Sellwood, 36, of Guggerty street, died at his home Monday at 10:55 AM. He was the adoptive son of Herman and Ella Parker Sellwood and was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on April 6, 1902. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last 14 years. He was employed at John Morrell & Co. Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters: Ollie, Maxine and Mabel Lou Sellwood; two sons, James and Maley Jr; his parents Herman and Ellen Sellwood of Agency; a sister Mrs. Mabel Hanford of Glenwood and two brothers; Charles Adams of Ottumwa and Francis Sellwood of Knoxville. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Sellwood. Services will be in Johnson's funeral chapel at Ottumwa Wednesday at 1:30 pm, conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
