EARLVILLE, Iowa - Harold J. Robinson, 84, of Earlville, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 13, 1998, at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Des Moines, after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Earlville United Parish, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville, where military rites will be accorded by the Earlville American Legion Post 436. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Clifton Funeral Home, Earlville, and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1913, in Earlville, son of John and Estella (Hunt) Robinson.

He graduated from Earlville High School in 1932 and farmed in the area. During World War II, he served in the Army as a staff sergeant in Africa and the European Theater. His family was important to him. He enjoyed music and collected various items, including musical instruments.

Surviving are a brother, Wilmer (Dolores) Robinson, of Earlville; four nephews and one niece; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett.

Memorials may be given to the Earlville United Parish Parsonage Fund.
