EARLVILLE, Iowa - Myrna V. Bisgrove, 89, of the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, formerly of Earlville, died after a lengthy illness Thursday morning, March 5, 1998, at the home.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Earlville United Parish, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Clifton Funeral Home, Earlville.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1908, in Ulmer, daughter of Jeremiah and Flora Deibert. She married Edward S. Bisgrove on Sept. 5, 1934, in Sac City; he died Aug. 26, 1973.

She graduated from Sac City Public Schools in 1927 and from Iowa State University in 1931 in home economics education and extension work. She taught home economics and science in Earlville for three years.

She lived in Earlville until her health required moving to the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester in May 1996. She was an active member of the Earlville Congregational United Church of Christ, working with the women's fellowship. She taught Sunday School for many years. She later joined the Congregational United Church of Christ in Manchester and was a member of the board of directors of the State Bank of Earlville and the E.O.T. study club.

Surviving are two children, Richard (Mary) Bisgrove, of Detroit, and Becky (Charles) Pardee, of Bald Head Island, N.C.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, James and Elwood.
