EARLVILLE
A pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Irmscher Thursday evening when their daughter Lois became the bride of Mr. John Clifton. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John H. Klaus, of Charles City, a great uncle of the bride at 5:30 in the presence of 60 relatives and friends. Miss Lillian Kahl played the wedding march. The bride presented an attractive appearance in a brown traveling suit with a georgette blouse, hat and shoes of corresponding shade. The home was beautifully decorated in a color scheme of white and yellow. Yellow Marguerites and white carnations and ferns formed the floral decorations. Following the ceremony an excellent wedding dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton departed later in the evening on a wedding trip to Chicago, and after March 15th will be at home in a modern cottage presented to them as a wedding gift from the bride’s parents. The wedding of these two young people united two of Earlville’s most popular young people and a host of young friends wish them a life of happiness and prosperity. They were the recipients of many beautiful and valuable wedding gifts.
