The wedding of Miss Olive Nurre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nurre to Ray Hoefer, of New Vienna, took place last Wednesday morning. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Loosbrock in SS. Peter and Paul’s Church, Petersburg. The couple were attended by Miss Elizabeth Hoefer and Anton Nurre. The bride presented an attractive appearance in a brown traveling suit with a spring hat and shoes of corresponding shade, and she carried a bridal bouquet of white carnations. Following the ceremony at the church a reception was held and a wedding feast was served at the home of the bride’s parents to which the entire country side was invited.

The wedding gifts were many and valuable. The bride is the estimable daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nurre residing north of Earlville. The groom is a progressive young farmer and a world war veteran. Mr. and Mrs. Hoefer departed on a wedding trip to Western Iowa and upon their return will reside on the Nurre homestead north of Earlville. Their many friends wish them a full measure of happiness and prosperity.
