Man Missing
Special Correspondence of the Dubuque Times
MANCHESTER JULY 13.

John Redman, of Richland Township, aged 22 years, has for the past three weeks been missing from his house) where he resided alone), under such suspicious circumstances that fears are entertained that he had been the victim of foul play.

The cattle are in his crops, and things going to wreck generally. Yesterday a personal examination of the premises was made by E. M. Carr, Esq., and others, who report blood scattered in different directions, and hair and other appendages found, an old gun in the attic, marks of digging in the cellar, &c., all indicative that young Redman had been murdered.

A foolish individual by the name of Wilder, gives a very straight forward statement in regard to the matter, the circumstantial evidence proving his statements correct. He says that he saw the body, that they tried to bury him in the cellar &c. The missing man has a brother resident in Jackson County.
