Western College Advocate, Linn County, Iowa, June 1, 1860.
HUNG
On the 18th of May, 1860, N. A. Johnson, was hung in the Court House yard at Delhi, Iowa, in the presence of about 3,000 persons. He confessed to the murder while in jail, but died praying, and expressed hopes of being saved.
