Surprise Linen Shower

Miss Pearl Stewart, one of Manchester’s fairest brides-to-be, and who is to be married soon to Mr. Walter G. Hunt, was the victim of a delightful surprise last Thursday evening when eleven of her girlfriends visited her at her home and proceeded to make merry with feast and festivity. Each guest brought the future gude-wife some handsome piece of linen and a lunch fitting exactly the appetite of the lunchers was also one of the assets of this jolly company.

Those spending the evening with Miss Stewart and her sister Lillian were the Mesdames Gertrude French and Grace Hetherington Ganz, and the Misses Lillian Bateman, Ina Chamberlain, Clara Commerford, Florence Atwater, Mary Glissendorf, Blanch Otis, Emily Otis, May Pemble and Miss Kroll of Chicago.
