I looked at his death certificate.

Decatur county Iowa #27-526
Jacob Bigley died at the County Home in Eden township, Decatur County on June 11, 1924; died at 5 pm. He died from cardiovascular disease and had been treated from January 1, 1923. He was listed as age 83, farmer; widower; born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; parents Jack Nathan and Anna Bigley; employer had been Elmer Shira; informant Elmer Shira of Leon, Iowa; burial in Leon Cemetery. F. S. Stewart, undertaker.
