DEATHS:

Williams, James Dean, 67, Humeston, died March 11. Services were conducted form Slade Funeral Home March 14 with the Rev. Keith Hamilton officiating. Burial was in Garden Grove Cemetery.

J. Dean Williams

James Dean Williams, son of Samuel Newton and Nellia A. Moon Williams, was born April 2, 1909, at Humeston, Iowa, and died March 11, 1977, at Lucas County Memorial Hospital, Chariton, Iowa, age 67 years, 11 months, and 9 days.

Most of his life was spent in Wayne and Decatur Counties. He was a farmer, but well known for well boring and well cleaning.

On May 19, 1933, he was united in marriage to Esther L. McKibben and to this union were born one son and two daughters.

He is survived by his widow Esther; son George and wife Karen, Woodburn, Iowa; two daughters: Waunita and husband Jerry D'Attilio, Derby, Iowa; and Ellen Faye and husband Leonard Golly, Maxwell, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Richard Dale and Donna Kay Williams; Tony Fay, Linda Kay, and Scott Nickolas D'Attilio; Edward Wayne and Kimberly Sue Corbin; three brothers: Guy, Humeston, Iowa; Glen, Promise City, Iowa; and John, Albany, Ore.; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by [his] parents, two brothers: Harry Lee (Pat), and a brother who died in infancy; and a son-in-law, Virgil Wayne Corbin.
