Services held Sunday for T.S. Williams

Final rites were held at the RLDS church Sunday for T.S. Williams, who died Friday, Nov. 26, at Decatur county hospital.

Mr. Williams, a long-time Lamoni resident and business man, had been in failing health for several years. He was taken to the hospital several weeks ago.

A native of Lucas, Iowa, Mrs. Williams served in many capacities in the community, including nine years on the board of education and 12 years as mayor. He was also president of the Business Men's club and a charter member of Rotary. During his years as mayor, he was prime mover in the formation of the Lamoni Community Life association, which honored him with its first Good Citizen award.

Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
