12 Jul 1898 in Decatur County, Iowa, at the age of 2 Years, & 9 Days, Richard Todd Metts passed away. Richard Todd Metts was named in honor of his grandfather Richard Todd Metts. Born in Decatur County, Iowa to loving parents Eliza Baker and Frank Metts. He was greated by his brother, Joseph Metts and sisters:Della May Metts, Ethel Mamie Metts & Rachel Edith Metts, grandparents Sarah Elizabeth (Binning) and Joseph Baker and grandmother, Margaret Ann (Smith) Metts.

This precious baby boy, leaves his heart broken family and friends. In his short life he touched many hearts.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, by his infant sister, Anna B Metts & brothers:John William Metts & Fredrick "Freddie" Metts.
