Sarah Lamb was born in Leon, Oct. 10, 1886 amd died at her home Oct. 31, 1913, aged 27 years and 21 days. She was married to LeRoy Quigley in 1898, he dying one year later. To them was born one son Forest Leroy. On Dec. 27, 1905, she was united in marriage to William Owens and to this union was born one daughter, Lorena Elizabeth. Besides her bereaved companion she leaves a mother, father, sister, four brothers, five step-children and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

She united with the First Baptist church of Leon in 1905, and been a devoted christian ever since. Last April she sought and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the Bible evidence of speaking and singing in other tongues as the spitit gave utterance.

The funeral was conducted by Brother Peace in the Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. She was laid to rest in the Leon cemetery to await the resurrection of the just.
