Mrs. A. B. Owens.
_____________

Eva R. Bowerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bowerman, was born in Crawford county, Pennsylvania, April 12, 1854, died at Willow Springs, Mo., Nov. 7, 1913, aged 59 years, 6 months and 25 days.

When she was fifteen years of age she came to Iowa with her parents, and they made their home in Taylor county for a number of years. On Feb. 12, 1883, she was united in marriage to Mr. Arthur B. Owens, and they made their home for a time at Garden Grove, then coming to Leon, where Mr. Owens was engaged in business for a number of years. About ten years ago they moved away, finally making their home at Willow Springs, Mo., where they resided at the time of her death.

While residing in Leon Mrs. Owens became a member of the Leon Christian church. She had been in very poor health for a number of years. Many were the measures of science and skill resorted to restore her to health, but all were unavailing. She was a great sufferer but never expressed any impatience, and she passed away in ease and quiet.

Her body was brought to Leon Sunday and taken to Decatur City for interment among loved ones of other days. She leaves to survive her husband, four sisters, among brothers and two daughters, one daughter, Mrs. Della McCready having passed away several years ago at Brooks, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Sunday in the Decatur M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Jas. W. Johnson, pastor of the Leon Christian church.

[Interment was made at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur City, Iowa.]
