Obituary ~ Zechariah "Zac" Amir Conrad
February 13, 1993 - March 20, 2018

Zechariah Amir "Zac" Conrad, age 25, the son of Glenn Russell Conrad and Mariyah Zaynab (Hull) Conrad, died in a car collision near his home at Gilbert, IA, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He was born on February 13, 1993, in Independence, MO. He was known as Amir and in recent years was known by many as “Zac”. He grew up in Lamoni and was a graduate of Lamoni High School, then he attended Southwestern Community College. He was currently employed by Hack Company in Ames, IA since September 2, 2015.

Amir was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He is remembered for his keen sense of humor and happy smile. His passion was Death Metal music and he enjoyed writing, composing, and singing his own songs as well as playing the electric guitar. He enjoyed bowling, drawing, and volunteering. He always went out of his way to help others. Amir was an easy going, laid back, good natured, gentle fellow and will be missed by all of his family and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hubert and Opal Hull and his paternal grandfather, William Conrad.

Surviving are his parents, Glenn and Mariyah Conrad of Lamoni, grandmother, Joyce Conrad of Houston, TX, great-uncle Gerald Carr (Ana) of Naples, FL, his sister, JoAlice Wise (William) of Kansas City, MO, brothers, Glenn Conrad (Stephanie) of Denver, CO, Timothy Conrad of Mitchellville, IA, Victor Conrad and Hubert Conrad (Rachel) all of Indianola, IA, and sister, Olivia Conrad of Bandera, TX. Also, aunts and uncles, Victor and Debra Hull of Weldon, IA, Evelyn Conrad and Paul Davis of Lamoni, Daniel Conrad of Houston, TX, Brian and Naomi Conrad of Granger, IA, and Carl and Tammy Conrad of Friendswood, TX. Amir was close to his cousins, Ryan Conrad-Davis, Damian Conrad-Davis, Shane Conrad-Davis, Casey Conrad-Davis, Karli Conrad-Davis, Alex Conrad, Aubrey Slayton (John), Brayden Conrad, Kristen Berg (Cameron), Eric Conrad, and Jeannette Carr, and nieces and nephews, Keagan, Mikayla, and Violet Conrad.

A memorial service was held at the Lamoni Community of Christ, at 9 a.m. on March 24, 2018, with Elders Paul J. Davis and Francis Acland officiating.
