Della May Metts was born March 13, 1885, in Decatur County, Iowa, and died Nov. 6, 1908, aged 23 years, 9 [7]months and 6 [24] days. She was married February 22, 1905, to Jasper Briner. To this union were born two children, Pearl, aged 2 years, and Homer, aged 10 months. She was taken sick Oct. 15, 1908, with typhoid fever and continued to grow worse until her death. She leaves a husband, two children, father, mother, brother, five sisters and two grandmothers, besides a host of friends.
She united with the United Brethren Church when about 15 years of age. The funeral services were held in the Pleasant Valley Church, Sunday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m., conducted by Rev. Jas. A. Armstrong. The Pastor spoke from Jeremiah 8:22, and John 11:31.
PLEASANT VALLEY NO. 2
Mrs. Jasper Briner died at her home on the 7th of typhoid fever. She had been sick for twenty-four days. A husband and two small children and a host of friends mourn her death. Her funeral was held on Sunday.
